It's Hard Being a Female MMA Fan
I am obsessed with MMA ! Not a bad obsessed. More of a passion. I am a huge fan of UFC and WEC. As we all like something and have our favorites, I have 3 MMA fighters that I absolutley love- Ben Henderson, Rampage Jackson, and Josh Koscheck. I can watch this on television all day and night, and once a fighter has impressed me as these 3 men have, they have a fan and supporter for life.
I have began to take MMA classes taughy by Ed Clay,if anyone has heard of him. My 4 year old son has followed in my footsteps and loves the sport as well, and takes classes as well. We of course do it for the love and self defense, not trying to become a professional or anything. There are several girls in the class, however none with a passion as deep as mine. Amazingly 90% of them cant name 5 MMA fighters!
And forget about new people I meet. Ive even had people ask what UFC is. Where have they been??? LOL!
Don't get me wrong. I still like my girly stuff...but nothing more than my MMA.
Maybe this is just a Tennessee thing, but it really sucks. So I turn to the Internet for people to share my love of the sport with.
Why is it girls look at me like im crazy when I mention this? Is this a Tennessee thing?
Oh well...I love it and always will!

Once I started trying to find out more about him,after his fight with Cerrone, learned he was a Christian,and joining here I saw how great he was all around.Your right,he said he'd give me an autograph and sent a comment the day after I joined.I was amazed!! I wish him the very very best because there's not a lot of people like Ben.

& Ben is very humble too alot of fighters don't take time to acknowledge the fans so I was blessed to see that some do exist.

- My smaller one likes Ben,too,but he is more into the UFC right now.But me on the other hand,if I met Ben,I would be all googly and dumb inside! LOL! i mean no disrespect at all to Ben's girlfriend,but he is HOT!! And a great fighter. Seeing Ben made me start taking classes!! Im glad there are other female MMA fans,noe if we can get some in Tennessee!! Im not super girly,but still a girl who loves MMA! I get some dumb looks too.

Hey so you dont feel lonely, I too am a MMA fan.
I love it, my husband loves it & my son loves it too. So you could say were an MMA loving family haha.
We try and go to all the events in our area & it's so fun. WEC 46 was amazing you should have seen the look on my sons face when he shook bens hand...priceless.
So don't feel like your the only one bc at least we know there two;) just be who you are and love what enjoy.
I'm a super Girly girl, but everyone knows I love MMA & they don't think any different of me so don't let anything bring you down or ever feel outcasted. God bless:)

- I don't care what anyone thinks...I LOVE it!!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! It's just hard to meet people when females are talking about makeup, fashion, etc.and here I am oh yea did y\ou see Ben,did u see Rampage...and I get a stare like WHAT?
